What does the Engineer have to do with the Robots?

Just look at the eyes of the Sniper. And the Scout. And the Heavy. And even the... Demoman? Maybe? Not really...

And the scariest thing is that this has always been the case for the TF2 homepage. They have been planning this all along. And who are they looking at so suspiciously? The Engineer.

If they have been planning this for a long time, then what might it be related to? Perhaps... MVM, the other thing they have been planning for a long time? And what if... the Engineer has been building robots for Gray?

This may look like a stab in the dark, but I have evidence. The Engineer Update Video. Why has the Engineer got plans for robots on his wall? And more importantly, right in the corner, you can clearly see a robot Demoman.

But this robot is red. It has a red glow. What could this suggest? A new type of robot in a future update? What do you make of it?

There are no robot Engineers in MVM. This seems to support the Engineer theory - perhaps in a future update, the Engineer will defect and join the robots, and show the RED team he was never really on their side. In this version, you may play as the BLU team, and fight against RED robots and a RED Engineer.

Even the music supports this - 'the Calm', which is the theme of the robots in the MVM trailer, has a melody which is a remix of 'More Gun', the Engineer's theme, at around 0:40 in the trailer, which coincides with the appearance of the Engineer. Does this mean the Engineer is part of the robot's faction? No other character gets their theme remixed in the trailer when they appear. The first melody of 'the Calm' is this this song.

The Engineer is a somewhat enigmatic figure, and his intellectual ability might even rival that of Gray Mann's. Why would the Engineer remain on the side of the 'idiot' RED and BLU teams when he can join his fellow intellectual?

I have asked many questions in this post. I hope Valve answers them one day.
