Meet the Scout

The scout, as you probably already know, is the fastest class in Team Fortress 2. This, combined with their remarkable ability to double jump, makes them one of the most maneuverable classes in the game.

In the Meet the Scout, the scout is portrayed as very arrogant. In fan-made videos, the scout is still shown as arrogant, although more critical of other people's actions. This is probably because the phrases the fans have to build the video with are mostly those that the scout have to use in battle; in Meet the Scout, he is asked to describe himself.




For the Scout's primary weapon, I generally use the Soda Popper. It's similar to the Force-A-Nature in that you can only fire twice before needing to reload, but it reloads slightly faster. You also get crits every so often for using the Soda Popper, so believe its a useful weapon to have in your primary slot.

In your secondary slot, I recommend Mad Milk. Mad Milk is described as milk coming from 'cows infused with sweet, wholesome, thermonuclear radiation'. It is useful as when it contacts an enemy, 60% of damage done to that enemy within ten seconds of him being hit by Mad Milk comes back to the attacker as health. Mad Milk, like Jarate, can also reveal enemy spies and put out fire. It is possible for you to be hit by your own Mad Milk if a Pyro airblasts it back at you.

For a melee weapon, I like to use the Atomizer. It allows the Scout to triple jump, at a cost of 10 damage, which I don't think is much. Triple jumping will allow you to get to higher ground that enemy scouts will be unable to reach, giving you an advantage.

Videos based on the scout are interesting, ad usually involve rivalry with a Heavy. One very well known one is "Scout is delicious". A contest was run from this video, and the top five best responses are found here.
