This is was a major TF2 fad and meme when it was first around. It was so successful, it spawned a massive Steam group, and a video competition.
In fifth place came Medic Is Jarate. It showed what life would be like if you were a Jarate. In fourth came 'Scout is combine', with a Scout becoming a Combine from Half-Life. This helps emphasize the antagonistic relationship between Scout and Heavy- Combines are evil. In third, came 'Professionals Standards', making fun of 'Meet the Sniper'. I'm not entirely sure how this relates to Scout is Delicious. The bungee clip at the end was particularly amusing, and a good example of audio splicing. In second came 'Scout is dispenser', which was rather fad-like in its own right. First was 'I eat your Razorback'. The audio-splicing was done very well, especially with the word 'Razorback', which is very long and complex.
I'm not entirely sure how this became such a great meme, although it is a good example of audio-splicing and highlights the relationship between Heavy and Scout.
